Richard Previdi is a founder and Managing Partner of Alliance Partners.
From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Previdi was first an associate, and then a Manager, in the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Arthur Young and Company in Washington DC. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Previdi was first a leasing agent, and then a partner (beginning in 1988), with Trammell Crow Company in the Washington DC region. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Previdi was a principal with a privately held distressed asset fund in New York City, where he acquired and asset managed portfolios of distressed assets. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Previdi was first the founder, then the President, and then the Chief Executive Officer of Wellsford Commercial Properties Trust (later WP Commercial Properties), a joint venture between a publicly traded real estate company and a global investment bank that acquired over $1 billion in commercial real estate.
From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Previdi was both CEO of a joint venture with a Global Investment Bank that acquired $500m in stabilized properties for subsequent securitization and the sole proprietor of Previdi Redevelopment Equities (“PRE”). PRE was the operating partner in a joint venture with a large publicly traded office REIT to redevelop properties in the Northern Virginia to Philadelphia corridor.
With over 25 years of real estate experience as a principal, Mr. Previdi personally has lead the development, redevelopment, acquisition, capitalization, and leasing of over 25 million square feet of commercial property for institutional and individual joint venture partners in east coast markets during his career.
Mr. Previdi received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (1987), a JD from Georgetown University Law School (1980), and a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in economics from Hamilton College (1977).
