Ira Bergstein joined Alliance in 2012 focusing on acquisitions, finance and asset management. Prior to joining Alliance, Ira was a principal in Palisades Financial, a New Jersey based fund manager for two private equity real estate debt and equity funds. The Palisades 2002 and 2006 funds raised $100 million and completed over ninety five transactions from 2002 to 2009. Ira joined Palisades in 2004.
Ira started his career at Arthur Andersen and Co., then joined a Large privately held $18 million mechanical contracting firm from 1985 to 1995, successfully navigating through the 1990-1991 banking and real estate downturn. In 1995 he joined Castle Senior Living, an AEW backed developer, owner and operator of fifteen assisted living properties in New York and New Jersey. In 2002 he was recruited to be a part of the management team for an LBO of Patient Care, a $150 million revenue Home Care company. Patient Care was purchased from a publicly traded conglomerate. Ira led the diligence team, secured $47 million from four Private Equity funds and a $30 million asset based loan from a regional bank.
Ira received a BS in Economics and Accounting from Rutgers College, and attended the London School of Economics.
